A weary person clutches a single sheep while sheep frolic around him. No matter how many sheep he counts, he is unable to fall asleep. The sheep playfully skip around him, as if taunting his sleep-deprived state.

The second drawing depicts the same person sleeping peacefully along with the sheep in a cozy pile, the once restless sheep now taking part in the tranquility.
